Remember that blog I did a while back about Nicole Suriel ? The young girl who drowned while on a school trip??? Yeah well nothing has changed. We still have the highest drowning rate, it’s the second leading cause of accidental death!!!
I came across this article about African-Americans and swimming….very interesting, especially being that a high percentage of drownings every year are African American children. Check it out tell me how u feel.

Hmmm…that’s crazy but I think our children need to learn how to swim…I learned in college how to swim – kind of lol but I’m still afraid of deep water. I know how not to drown but there is a kind of panic I feel when I think of being in deep water. We can all afford to be more comfortable in the water…
